TurnKey Solutions Announces Employee, Kathy Thaxton, is Second Female in North America to Win a Global OWASP WASPY Award
Our business days are often such a whirlwind, we can easily forget that companies are not just faceless entities. They are made up of real live human beings. These people bring their expertise, their experiences, their personalities, and their lives to work every single day. Their job, in fact, is just what they do. It is not who they are.
So when any one of our TurnKey team members is recognized in their life for something outstanding, we like to shout it from the rooftops.
Every year, the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) recognizes the contributions of individuals who “dedicate countless hours to share, improve, and strengthen the OWASP mission.”
OWASP is a charitable organization “focused on improving the security of software. Our mission is to make software security visible, so that individuals and organizations are able to make informed decisions.”
We are thrilled to share that Kathy Thaxton, Director of Sales for TurnKey Solutions, has won a 2016 WASPY Award (Web Application Security People of the Year) for the Global/Growth category. According to the OWASP Wiki page, Ms. Thaxton is the second female to win a WASPY Award in North America.
Those of us at TurnKey Solutions were not the least bit surprised that Kathy was nominated by her peers for her profound contribution, initiative, cheerfulness, and exceptional organizational skills. We see Kathy employing these skills every day, driven to achieve results and having fun doing it.
